A Luxury Tour of Bhutan

Enter the land of mountain myths and explore the verdant valleys of central and western Bhutan visiting the five districts of Thimphu, Gangtey, Bumthang, Punakha and Paro staying in the quiet luxury of the world class Amankora retreats.

This journey will take you through the breath-taking scenery of mountain top monasteries, majestic mountains vistas, through fragrant pine forest, and glacial rivers uncovering the rich, cultural heritage of this ancient land, in true comfort & style.

The tour begins in gentle capital of Thimpu in the luxurious Amankora built in the style of a traditional dzong fortress, before heading to the remote valley of Gangtey. Enjoy the spectacular drive as you journey through this region, to the intimate Gangtey Lodge with only 8 suites, overlooking the 16th centaury Gangtey Goemba monastery. Spend 2 nights and enjoy gentle treks through the flower meadows and forests of this remote valley

From Gangtey head to one of the most far-flung reaches of Bumthang, for a 2 night stay at the Aman Lodge, adjacent to the Wandichholing Palace in the Choekhor valley.  The journey then heads to Punakha across the suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River, residing at the Amankora Lodge which incorporates a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse.

The tour culminates with a 3 night stay at Amankora Paro, largest of the resorts with a large spa and glass walled yoga shala.  The perfect location for keen hikers to reach the incredible Tigers Nest monastery perched on the side of a mountain in this hilltop kingdom.
