Step back in time with fabled architecture reminiscent of the mighty Amer Fort, a hall of 24 pillars mirroring those found at the City Palace, and the impressive lobby boasting the 187-year-old Golden Gate - the original gilded entrance of the Rambagh Palace. Here, hand painted murals, a medley of crafted stone and delicate tiles, gilded antiques and vintage photographs all combine to create a truly enticing regal abode.

This boutique palace contains, 51 spacious, inviting rooms and suites, most opening on to the pretty private, verdant courtyards. The superior suites also provide inviting plunge pools. Each room has been gently renovated in a classic yet contemporary manner with a palette of soft hues and wooden furnishings.

Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II served as the first ambassador to Spain and his time spend there is clearly reflected in La Mesa; the Spanish themed restaurant, along with the elegant La Terraza al-fresco restaurant.
