Travel from this Islamic pocket in southern India to the intrinsically Hindu collection of temples at Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal and on to Hampi and the ancient Vijayanagar Empire to see some of India's most intricate historical stone carvings. Day 1: Arrive Hyderabad

Arrive into Hyderabad and transfer to the beautiful Taj Falaknuma Hotel. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Hyderabad

Explore this wondrous capital, a 400 year-old metropolitan city teeming with bustling bazaars and Muslim monuments.

Day 3: Hyderabad - Bidar - Gulbarga (Kalaburagi)

Transfer by road to Gulbarga en-route visiting Bidar Fort (approximately 06 hours’ drive including stop) On arrival, check-in at Lumbini’s Grand Hotel.

Day 4: Gulbarga - Bijapur

Sightseeing tour of Gulbarga Fort and Khwaja Bande Nawaz Durgah. Transfer by road to Bijapur (approximately 03 hours drive) On arrival, check-in at The Fern Residency Hotel (Hazel Suite) Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Bijapur

Sightseeing tour of Bijapur city The old city of Bijapur is surrounded by fortified walls. Monuments of the city built during Adil Shahi Dynasty are the main attractions like Gold Gumbaz or the Rounded Dome, located in the eastern end of the walled city, Ibrahim Roza in the western outskirts of the city. Gagan Mahal, now mostly in ruins but still has enough attraction.

Day 6: Bijapur - Badami

Transfer by road to Badami (approximately 03 hours and 30 minutes’ drive) On arrival, check-in at Clarks Inn Hotel (Suite) Badami also known as Vatapi, rich with Hindu and Jain temples carved out of sandstone hills, which date back to the 6th century. Later, Proceed for sightseeing tour of Badami including the cave temples followed by a walk around the Bhuthanatha Temples.

Day 7: Badami - Aihole - Pattadakal - Badami

Full day excursion to the elaborate temples at Aihole and Pattadakal.

Day 8: BADAMI – HAMPI

Morning drive to Hampi and check-in at Evolve Back Kamalapura.

Day 9: Hampi

A day discovering the ruins at Hampi, once the capital city of the Vijayanagara Empire, an Imperial city to rival Rome with its palaces, temples and sculptures.
