This innovative safari lodge offers 28 cocoon suites scattered throughout the wild beachfront jungle wilderness. Each one has a wooden patio with some boasting their own private plunge pools. Inside the tented structures the best of all worlds is provided, with the latest mod-cons, copper accents, leather furniture, sumptuous four poster beds and stand alone large copper bathtubs.

With a firm focus on sustainability, locality and seasonality the cuisine here is fresh, local and quite simply delicious with a fusion of local and global dishes on offer, changing daily. The hotel prides itself on working with local producers, farmers and fishermen and communities to ensure the local communities are supported.

The Ten Tuskers bar sits alongside the inviting swimming pool and faces the ocean. It is crowned by a large bamboo chandelier where the talented bartenders create fresh innovative cocktails to enjoy after the day out exploring the nearby jungles and national parks.

There is much to do at this unique lodge from guided nature walks to the open top jeep safaris in Yala National Park, where the passionate rangers are extremely knowledgeable and have a real eye for detail when out looking for leopards, bears and elephants to have a few. 

There is also the nearby Bundala National Park wetlands where the extraordinary array of birdlife including waders and raptors, and a multitude of terrestrial birds as well.   Alongside the wildlife, there are several monasteries, temples and bike trails to explore.
