Originally designed by the world-famous Geoffrey Bawa, Sri Lanka’s most celebrated architect, this historic hotel dates back to the 70’s & 80’s with its distinctive design and is now the latest addition to the Interior designed, KK Collection. Bearing many original hallmarks, it has now been neatly updated with a burst of colour and contemporary artwork throughout.

Located on the west coast in Bentota, this is an elegant, villa hotel offering a stylish alternative to the larger resorts nearby on this popular stretch of sandy beach. The hotel itself is set back from the ocean front, just a few minute’s walk away from the beach, beyond a railway line, and the odd scattered palm tree. The railway line sends through a rattling train a few times an hour and less at night, with most guests happy to entertain the charming burst of life it brings.

This property contains fourteen colour infused, affordable bedrooms and suites suitable from families, friends and honeymooners alike. Each room has a king size bed, with lavish linens and large ensuite bathrooms. Superior rooms are larger and excellent value, providing their own private veranda or rooftop terrace. The Mohotti Suite is a two bedroomed suite with its own lounge and private staircase, perfect for a family. Whilst the larger Executive Suites are well sort after, especially the one with its own plunge pool.

The hotels partially open-air restaurant is tucked away from the main villa providing a wonderful array of Sri Lankdan dishes. Whilst the informal Terrace restaurant provides a welcoming bar with garden fronted dining, centred around western orientated dishes.

The property generously provides two pools one for the children and the other adult only lap pool, extensive lawns alongside the deep verandas and terraces provide

plenty of places to sit and unwind. There is a small massage room and charming boutique also located at the property.
