I had a really terrific trip—lots of interesting areas and sites, and many discoveries, including jewellery, leather sandal, and wooden toy making.
There was some really wonderful scenery and terrific little villages, and I loved the countryside in that area, with its rocky hills and mountain forest drives. A lot of the dry, bushy landscape reminded me of Australia, which was nice too. Every day was hot and sunny.
There were some truly top-class hotels in the selection, just as your plan promised. In particular, Kahani and Ahilya were fantastic. Everywhere I went, the staff were extremely kind and efficient—helping me over rocky terrain or unlit steep steps, or cooking something less spicy. I also had some lovely alfresco dinners under the stars.
As for the drivers and guides, all were kind, careful, well informed, and good company, including Manas, who guided me on one of my previous trips. It was great to see him again.
Best of all—indeed totally brilliant—was you (and your secret team) for planning, arranging, booking, and monitoring the whole trip. I can never thank you enough.
