Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur
Possibly one of the world's most famous hotels, as a result of having been the set for a major part of the James Bond film, Octopussy, this magical hotel appears to 'float' in the middle of Lake Pichola. Reached by a short boat ride from the City Palace the hotel boasts endless turrets and terraces, a rooftop pool and most rooms overlook the lake (see feature image).
